Lucknow: A condolence meeting was organised by the Hemvati Nandan Bahuguna Smriti Samiti to mourn the demise of veteran leader and former Union Minister Mohsina Kidwai. The meeting was held at Gomti Enclave residence of Rita Bahuguna Joshi.
The solemn ceremony was chaired by former acting Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh and state president of the committee, Ammar Rizvi. In the condolence resolution, the committee described her passing as an irreparable loss and paid tribute to her over five decades of dedicated public service.
Speakers highlighted Kidwai’s contributions toward the upliftment of women, poor, and marginalized communities, noting her role as an inspiration for generations. Her tenure as a minister in both the state and central governments was remembered for effective leadership and commitment.
The gathering also recalled her association with late Hemvati Nandan Bahuguna and her role in strengthening the committee nationally.
Several members and dignitaries attended the meeting, which concluded with prayers for the departed soul and condolences to the bereaved family.
